Stories of Survivors - a "Docu-Recital"

"Stories of Survivors" is a "docu-recital" that features interviews with survivors of sexual assault paired with the music of female composers. This recital will shock audiences with the difficult truths of being a survivor of sexual assault along with the societal issues that contribute to the epidemic of sexual violence. It also aims to inspire survivors by letting them know they are not alone and that things do get better. The conclusion of the program leaves the audience with an imperative to actively make changes to our society regarding how we treat survivors of sexual assault.

This recital will be performed at Virginia Tech on Sunday, March 24th at 3:00 p.m. A link to the live stream can be found here:

There will be a Q&A discussion after the recital to discuss the creative process behind this project. Please join us in person or via Facebook live!!
